Anamta Eid Milap 2026
March 28, 2026, Anamta Eid Milap (Carnival), Concord, NC: On behalf of Breast Cancer Hub (BCH), I extend my sincere gratitude to Mr. Fiaz Syed, Founder of ANAMTA, and the ANAMTA Executive Team for inviting BCH to conduct a cancer awareness outreach program. We were honored to share our life-saving educational resources, introduce our Patient Care Packages, and highlight BCH’s commitment to providing 100% free services to support cancer patients and their families. Thank you for giving BCH the opportunity to serve the ANAMTA community and further our mission of promoting cancer awareness, early detection, and patient support.
On behalf of BCH, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Mamatha Jakkam , BCH leader, for stepping up and leading the setup of the BCH awareness educational booth at the Anamta Eid Festival. Mrs Jakkam’s commitment, especially staying throughout the entire event, truly made a difference.
We are also deeply grateful to Dr. Afreen Syed for her valuable support. A huge shoutout to Bhanu Krishnamsetty, for assisting with the setup, and to Rumaisa Syed and Bhanu Krishnamsetty, BCH ambassadors, for sharing valuable information about BCH’s early detection and screening programs, introduced our handcrafted patient care packages, and highlighted BCH’s grassroots mission of providing comprehensive support services-from screening and diagnosis to treatment assistance and counseling-completely free of charge.
During the outreach, we distributed brochures outlining all of our 100% free grassroots services and contact information, ensuring that anyone encountering a suspicious case can reach out to me directly for treatment guidance and support. The brochures also included QR codes for easy access to:
Breast Self-Exam Cards for Her and Him, in 27 languages
Life-saving Early detection cards for other types of prevalent cancers
Details on our one-of-a-kind “BCH Know Your Breasts” App, available in 27 languages and for all genders-the first of its kind
Direct contact info for those seeking guidance or noticing symptoms
To amplify engagement, we shared color-coded wristbands and keyrings:
Pink for breast cancer in women
Blue for breast cancer in men
Purple for all cancers and all genders-symbolizing unity
We also handed out bookmarks featuring ribbon colors of various cancers, promoting awareness, inclusion, and solidarity.
We shared details about our handcrafted Patient Care Packages, lovingly created by BCH’s dedicated volunteer seamstresses. Each set included:
A heart-shaped pillow with a pocket for hot/cold packs for post-surgery relief
A Chemo Port Car Seat Belt Pillow for travel comfort
Soft hats for those experiencing chemo-related scalp sensitivity
Handmade cards with original, uplifting artwork
These gifts go beyond physical comfort-they embody hope, love, and unwavering support.
Together, we continue to raise awareness, provide support, and most importantly-save lives.
With gratitude,
Dr Lopamudra Das Roy , on behalf of Breast Cancer Hub Family
