Group-Dhun or "Tune" symbolizes the melodious, unbridled flow of notes. Dhun is a Charlotte based trio of Aparna Sen and her two children, Aditi and Anirudh Sengupta. Aparna, the first Charlotte Indian Idol, leads Dhun and is supported by Aditi and Anirudh on the vocals and guitars. Dhun's members have been performing individually for a long time, winning hearts and laurels, but they performed as a group for the first time

With bated breath, we wait for the first rain to drench the thirsty earth and for the smell of the soil as it soaks up the first rain, inviting an irresistible urge of playfulness as we gather around with our friends to celebrate the advent of the monsoon. Dancing in the rain is pure bliss.

Ashwini Kathak Dance Academy is premier Kathak school in Charlotte. Ashwini Gogate is the artistic director of AKDA. Ashwini Kathak Dance Academy is dedicated exclusively to teaching Kathak as an Indian Classical dance should be taught. Ashwini believes strongly in staying true to the heritage and traditions of this art form, teaching the fundamentals of taal and rhythm, paying attention to correct form and execution, good posture and graceful movement.
Ashwini is a center director for Bharti Vidyapeeth University of performing arts. AKDA offers opportunities for students to work towards accredited dance certification exams
