A Fusion of Colon Cancer Awareness, Craft, and Art
A Fusion of Colon Cancer Awareness, Craft and Art: March 29, 2025: For the First Time in Charlotte — “Ride 4 A Cause” Takes the Stage During Colon Cancer Awareness Month, hosted by The Breast Cancer Hub (BCH) Wing – Colon Cancer Hub, proudly dedicated to and in honor of our beloved Ravina Kashyap, Colon Cancer Conqueror! Her courageous journey continues to inspire many in the fight against colon cancer.
We thank Trials of Color (TOC) and Sharon Rivera, Founder of TOC, for the partnership. The incredible TOC team rode bikes through four states—Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, and North Carolina—culminating in a powerful awareness event hosted by BCH in Concord, NC.
This groundbreaking event, hosted by BCH marked the first “Ride 4 A Cause” in Charlotte, focused on raising awareness about Colon Cancer Screening, Clinical Trials, and Survivorship—topics vital to saving lives, with Dr Raghava Induru, Sharon Rivera and Ravina Kashyap as our esteemed speakers.
A Fusion of Advocacy, Art, and Appreciation
BCH proudly hosted a creative craft workshop, where we honored our TOC bikers and guests with handcrafted tokens of appreciation. Our talented youth volunteers, guided by the mentorship of our Creative Design Leaders—Priya Roy, Rajashri Patel, Mahalakshmi Ramani, and Sapna Bordoloi—crafted a vibrant NC map and blue beaded BCH bracelets symbolizing strength, and unity.
Every element of the event, from the decorations to registration to hospitality, reflected the heart and teamwork of our BCH family. A special thank-you goes to Sana Roy and Priya Roy for their touching souvenir concept: instant Polaroid portraits, which bikers took home as lasting memories.
Applause to our Event Management Team: Idrisha Moulik (Anchor), Namrata Kachroo, Amrita Borooah, Dr. Preethi Induru, Ravina Kashyap, and Haritha Gummadi for the flawless execution
Thank you, Agneya Roy, for inaugurating with the National Anthem.
Thank you,
Dr Lopamudra Das Roy (Event Supervisor), on behalf of the BCH team
