fall festival, University of north carolina at charlotte

Breast Cancer Hub generates Cancer awareness and gives Patient Care packages at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte's (Charlotte), Fall Festival held October 24, 2023: I am immensely thankful to Debra Bunker for being indispensable to BCH, without whom my dream of patient care package wouldn't have been implemented since early 2022. To further support, Debra introduced BCH to Lora Bassett, and we are extremely grateful to Lora and Debra for inviting BCH to the Fall Festival at Charlotte and giving us the opportunity to generate Cancer awareness and also serve the CMPD and Charlotte community with our Patient Care Package. It was a beautiful flawless execution by the Charlotte organizing team.

During the outreaches and discussions, we provided the BCH brochure with the QR codes to download the early detection cards, and contact information, so that any suspicious case can reach out to me later. We also handed out a wristband with a combination color of pink representing breast cancer in women, blue representing breast cancer in men, and purple inclusive of all genders and all cancers along with bookmarks with the message of togetherness. We provided BCH Patient care package, which includes the post-cancer surgery comfort pillows with a pocket that allows using a cold or hot pack as part of the healing, chemo port seat belt pillows and chemo hats, a gesture of our love and care.

100% of BCH services are free of cost, and 100% of donations are driven towards our mission (donor’s choice).

With gratitude,

Dr Lopamudra Das Roy , on behalf of BCH family
