Nrityangan Cultural Academy - AMIL

Nrityangan cultura academy - amil

December 09, 2023, Waxhaw, NC: On behalf of Breast Cancer Hub, we convey our heartfelt thanks to Ritu Mukherjee, Nrityangan Cultural Academy (NCA) for choosing BCH as their charity of choice for the musical AMIL, helping raise $6388.04 and also inviting me to speak, and conduct educational outreach, helping to generate awareness. It was our privilege to honor Ritu Mukherjee with an award of recognition, as a token of our appreciation, for supporting the cause of BCH and making a difference.

We were immensely grateful to the esteemed participants, guests, and the kind-hearted donors who contributed towards AMIL fundraiser, and without their generosity, the event wouldn’t have been a success. We thank Ritu Mukherjee for her breathtaking, empowering performance with the mesmerizing singing of Leena Basu, Sohini Sengupta, Vikram Sarin. The eloquent anchoring of Dr Deba Sarma and Aarti Sengupta was amazing! We were enchanted with the in-depth concept of AMIL depicting the scenario of Male Breast Cancer which was gracefully enacted by the amazing performers taking us to the enthralling world of music, leaving us with the memories of a beautiful evening!

Hats off to the tireless efforts of the AMIL team with the flawless execution - Ritu Mukherjee, Niketa Mittal, Aparna Gopali, Sayali Harve, and each AMIL leader who helped to organize. A huge shout-out to the NCA students who have passionately helped raise funds - Stuti Patra, Myra Dogra, Aarya Hirve, Pushpita Behera, Shaan Patel, Rishi Gopali, Elisha Roy, Krish Shah, Anika Kasuganti, Priyansh Kothari, Ruchika Devanand, Swati Gupta, Megha Mittal, Harshini Janapaty, Rohan Nadkarni, Ria Vaishnav, Nandini Mehta.

We were so blessed to have our BCH volunteers dedicating their time - Hema Appaji, Swati Yadav, Ravina Kashyap, Laasya Bodducherla, Sandeep Roy, helping us throughout. No words to express our gratitude to Swati Yadav (Founder-Swati Designs), for creating the BCH photo booth. We thank all our inspiring BCH supporters who stopped by - Indu Vaidyanathan, Mini Kartha, Moushumi Ghosh Behera to name a few….

During the outreach, we spread the message of Early detection Screening of Cancer, discussing the 100% Free grassroots sustainable services of BCH, by giving out the brochure with all the program information along with the QR codes to download the early detection cards, and contact information, so that any suspicious case can reach out to me later. We also handed out a wristband with a combination color of pink representing breast cancer in women, blue representing breast cancer in men, and purple inclusive of all genders and all cancers along with bookmarks with the message of togetherness. We also discussed our handcrafted BCH Patient care package, which included the post-Breast cancer surgery comfort pillows with a pocket that allows using a cold or hot pack as part of the healing, chemo port seat belt pillows and chemo hats, creative cards, a gesture of our love and care.

100% of BCH services are free of cost, and 100% of donations are driven towards our mission (donor’s choice).

With gratitude to the AMIL team,

Dr Lopamudra Das Roy, on behalf of the BCH family
