Medical Oncologist & Hematologist

St. Petersburg, Florida

I am a physician and practice as a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist in Florida. I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; however, spent my early childhood in England before moving to Bakersfield, California. I have always had a strong passion for medicine early in life as my parents are both physicians.

I completed the majority of my medical education at Boston University and subsequently successfully completed my Internal Medicine residency at UCLA-Westwood in California. I then received my oncology and hematology training at the Harvard Cancer Center/ BIDMC, where I then stayed on as faculty..

I have been living in Florida since 2012 and am currently the medical research director at Comprehensive Hematology Oncology and lead multiple clinical trials while presenting original research at national conferences and publishing in international journals.

I am committed to continuing cutting-edge research and providing access to newer therapies to my patients. I have a special interest in young adults with cancer. I also hold leadership positions in various Cancer Committees at local hospitals and regularly present at Grand Rounds, teaching seminars, and community outreach programs. My goal is to provide exceptional care to patients and their families without exception. I work hard to give patients personalized attention and the care they need.

Outside of medicine, I am a wife and mother of 3 lovely children. We enjoy traveling, eating ethnic cuisines, going to concerts and watching the newest Pixar movie! I try to be the assistant coach in my kids’ sports team whether it be soccer or basketball…well, for as long as they will still take me:)

My hobbies include reading, solving mysteries on podcasts and trying my husband’s newest recipes!

MISSION STATEMENT: Being diagnosed with cancer can be a terrifying and lonely journey. With education comes power and a sense of control. The medical knowledge that I have been given from books, lectures, teachers and colleagues may help others in their fight against cancer and will hopefully help in the healing process as both patients and families travel this journey. There is strength in a sense of community and knowing that you are not alone.

Country of origin & Country residing currently: My family originated from India. I was born in and live in the United States.
