Dr. Kataki was borh  in Raha, Nagaon District, Assam (1958). He did his MBBS from Assam Medical College (1981) securing 3rd position in the Dibrugarh University ; MD (O&G) with distinction – Assam Medical College (1987) . Post Graduate Fellowship in gynecologic oncology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (1987-88). Dr kataki is recipient of :

  • UICC ICRETT Fellowship (1996 at Mayo Clinic, USA)

  • Recipient of UICC ICRETT Fellowship (2002 at Hammersmith Hospital, London)

  • Recipient of Young Investigators Award at Bangkok (1998)

  • Trained in Gynaecologic Oncology at Bartholomew Hospital (London), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (New York), MD Anderson Cancer Centre (Huston), USA

  • Member of the Steering committee of NCRP (ICMR).

Mission statement and collaboration:
Our interest of collaboration will be Prevention & early detection of common cancers of the North East.  IT communication network may also be part of creating massive public awareness for prevention.  IEC material, design and develop accordingly may be shared before it is finalized to make it more appealing in our context.
