Working as Associate Professor in Silchar Medical College and as visiting consultant in Cachar Cancer Hospital, Silchar. I passed my MBBS(1998) and MD(2005)from Guwahati Medical College. My special area of interest are histopathology and oncopathology. Have published many publications mainly related to oncopathology and have served as resource person in many national CMEs.

Every year more than 100 cases of Breast carcinomas are diagnosed, most of them at a higher stage. As part of treatment protocol chemotherapy is followed by surgery and it is seen many undergo pathological remission. It is imperative that we should explore the survival rate of these pathological remission cases and correlate with the grade, stage, hormonal status. Another aspect is to look for the premalignant lesions in breast lump. A familial / hereditary cause could also be studied in those suffering from frank cancer.
