BCH Bravest Hero Award 2026 india -Durga Gopal

Hyderabad: Every year, we honor our Breast Cancer Hub (BCH) Cancer Bravehearts -individuals who exemplify courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication in supporting others through their cancer journey and beyond. This year, we are proud to nominate two extraordinary BCH Breast Cancer Thrivers from India: Mrs. Durga Gopal from Hyderabad and Mrs. Anuradha Saxena from Indore.

Here’s a glimpse from the BCH Bravest Hero Award Ceremony held in Hyderabad on 5th January, honoring Mrs. Durga Gopal-a celebration marked by courage, hope, and the powerful spirit of giving back. Mrs. Durga Gopal’s journey, defined by resilience, strength, and a selfless commitment to uplifting others facing cancer, continues to inspire countless lives.

We were truly honored by the presence of Mrs. Anindita Chowdhury, a valued member of the BCH Support Family since 2019; Dr. Palanki Satya Dattatreya, Director & Chief of Medical Oncology Services, Renova Soumya Cancer Centre, Secunderabad; Dr. A. Sandhya, Associate Professor, Department of Genetics, Osmania University; and Dr. Savitha Dattatreya. We deeply appreciate each of you for joining us despite your busy schedules. It was also wonderful to have Mrs. Rita Das, member of the BCH India Advisory Board, with us.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Durga Gopal and her beautiful family - especially her grandson - for hosting us with such warmth, kindness, and love and we thank everyone who joined us for the ceremony.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Dr Lopamudra Das Roy
