A huge shout-out to Sri Sarada Sangha, Mayer Bari, Natun Patty, Silchar, Assam, for the great initiative in supporting the cause, and humbled to be invited to speak on Early detection screening of Breast Cancer, Key risk factors, and prevention of all cancers on 19th March, 2024. Immensely thankful to the organizing committee - Smt. Rtita Das, Smt. Sanjukta Das Gupta, Smt. Krishna Das Roy, Smt. Roma Purkayastha, Smt. Shukla Das Gupta, Smt. Suchandana Dey, Smt. Jhuma Sen Gupta, for the kindest gestures, and the flawless execution. Thank you, Smt. Roma Purkayastha for presiding the session with your eloquent thoughts and perspectives. I am very thankful to Mrs. Sanalembi Devi and Ms. Sarita Singha, our Breast Cancer Hub team, for all the support throughout the event. Thanks to all the esteemed members for attending the workshop, and showering all your warmth, love, and encouragement, means a lot. We emphasized on our anti-tobacco campaign and received a positive response from the audience.
It was a very fulfilling session and was great interacting with everyone.
On behalf of Breast Cancer Hub (BCH), post-session, we distributed BCH Brochures with the QR code of Breast Self Exam cards in 24 languages & also QR code of Early detection Cards for other prevalent cancers, to download & share in the network with BCH contact information, so that any suspicious case can reach out to me if need any further treatment guidance, support & counseling. We also handed out a keyring with a combination color of pink representing breast cancer in women, blue representing breast cancer in men, and purple inclusive of all genders and all cancers along with bookmarks with the message of togetherness. We also gave Breast Self Exam (BSE) card in the Local language, to everyone, to implement, practice BSE and also share vital life-saving information in their network of family and friends, taking charge of Breast health. I feel blessed to be able to serve the members of Sarada Sangha, Ladies Group, and others who took the time to come and attend the workshop.
