The International Small Group and Tree Planting (“TIST”) Program

Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and India

Small Groups of subsistence farmers join The International Small Group and Tree Planting Program (“TIST Program”) in Tanzania, India, Uganda, and Kenya to plant trees, improve agriculture, improve their farms, and sequester carbon; participate in and create Best Practices; lead training on sustainable development practices; improve health and nutrition; and receive carbon income.

TIST Farmers are changing their communities and the world through education and taking action to improve their environment, agriculture, and health. TIST's innovative, community-led approach illustrates the power of education and information sharing.

Mission Statement: We are thrilled to work with the Breast Cancer Hub (“BCH”) to provide critical health education to subsistence farmers around the world. TIST Farmers receive training through in-person meetings, the TIST Learning Center, and multilingual and locally produced newsletters on HIV/AIDS, malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis, nutrition, sanitation, clean drinking water, and hygiene topics. The information and training offered by BCH will save countless lives within the TIST Community.
