Hope Vibes, the organization, was founded in July 2016. It was birthed organically when Co-Founder/ Director, Adrienne Threatt, shared a video on social media about the often forgotten/unrealized challenges of women living on the streets with their menstrual cycle. She, along with many others, were shocked, outraged, saddened, but most importantly, moved to ACTION!
Adrienne, her husband and Co-Founder Emmanuel Threatt, and a handful of friends decided to collect hygiene products to meet the needs. In just a few short weeks, they mobilized a humble army of giving hearts. To this day, Hope Vibes receives personal hygiene product donations and excited volunteers from all over the city and beyond! Mission Statement: Hope Vibes exists to bring awareness, hope and real solutions to the homeless epidemic in the Charlotte-Metrolina region by providing dignity through personal hygiene products, mobile laundry/shower vehicles & conversation.
As Breast Cancer Hub sets out to save lives by awareness, volunteering, education and research… our partnership is a natural fit! It’s the perfect opportunity to connect our homeless neighbors to the resources necessary to ensure healthy living and awareness when it comes to breast cancer.
