Vidya Chandrasekhar, a 1st Recruiter and mother of two at present, I used to be a research scientist working on molecular aspects of pesticide & hydrocarbon degradation. The aim was to develop sustainable solutions to help farmer’s lands saturated with excess xenobiotics. We successfully achieved this.

Something about my family: My grandfather was a part of Gandhiji’s satyagraha, India’s freedom struggle. Being from a family of academicians, tendency of service, selflessness and humanity runs in my genes. My family too is always willing to give and do for others.  We are always trying to improve the welfare of people around us. I am the secretary in local elementary school council, I chair a couple of PTO committees, I am a popcorn kernel for boys scouts and a community representative in my locality. I know how empowering science can be to improve the overall well being of a society. With Lopa’s initiative, I’m sure breast cancer will be a thing of the past in the coming years. I feel proud to be a part of this initiative.

Mission Statement:
I wish to continue contributing to science and humanity however I can. With my vast network in US, India, Australia, Europe and UAE, I can and will spread breast cancer awareness among the people & help organize events.
