Lopamudra Das Roy, M.Sc, MBA, Ph.D is the founder and President of Breast Cancer Hub with 18+ years of experience in Research, Teaching and Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students (Ph.D. candidates) in the field of Genetics and Breast & Pancreatic Cancer. Dr. Das Roy received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology (Genetics) from Assam University, in addition to her research experience in Biochemistry at Delhi University, India. Dr. Das Roy did her Post-Doctoral fellowship from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, USA in Cancer Immunology & therapeutics focusing on Breast and Pancreatic Cancer. She received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management, Chicago, IL, USA in 2018 (class of Executive MBA). Her professional career started as a lecturer of Genetics in Garden City College, Bengaluru, India, followed by her Post-Doctoral fellowship from Mayo Clinic, USA focusing on Breast and Pancreatic Cancer research & mentoring students. She moved to University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and served as Research Assistant Professor, awarded with grants as Principal Investigator from the Department of Defense (DOD) cancer research program (BCRP) investigating targeting therapies and signaling pathways in metastatic Breast and Pancreatic cancer along with teaching & mentoring Ph.D candidates. Dr. Das Roy worked as a Research Director at OncoTAb, Inc, a UNCC spin off (Cancer diagnostics and therapeutics) and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at UNCC & was awarded with Contract grant from National Cancer Institute as Principal investigator to decipher the molecular targeted radiation therapy for Triple negative Breast Cancer.  Dr. Das Roy’s original research work is attributed with numerous high impact factor publications, citations, press releases with global recognition from American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) and public media for breakthrough work on discovering the signaling pathway between Breast cancer metastasis and Arthritis. She is invited to present her work at worldwide conferences as Guest speaker and serves as a scientist reviewer of grants for Department of Defense Cancer research program and also serves as a scientist reviewer and as member of scientific editorial board for Cancer related journals. She resigned from her job of 10 years at UNCC and founded Breast Cancer Hub (BCH), a 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization incorporated in North Carolina, USA in September 2017, with a vision to globally connect, break the taboo & increase the survival frequency of women and men with Breast Cancer across the world through Awareness, Education and Research. BCH was launched on October 20th, 2017 at Northwestern University- Kellogg School of Management, Chicago. BCH bridges the gap between the developed and developing world to uplift the awareness & research potential and bring into limelight the current situation of Breast cancer in the urban & rural sectors across the globe, and try to decipher the hidden elements that may eventually help in the treatment schema. Dr. Das Roy completed “Step into Impact” Nonprofit Executive Education Program from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management in 2018. She also serves as Global Leadership Panel member at Fight Cancer Global.
